Dmitry Tursunov lost in the Kremlin Cup QF to Janko Tipsarevic, but it's a known fact Russian guys give good interviews.
Your Twitter says "Tursunov Tales". What tales would you like to tell us?
It was a title of a blog I used to run on the ATP Tour a couple of years ago. I don't run it anymore because it was taking a lot of time, and I had to travel, had to practise - it was exhausting. But the Twitter stayed.
If your life was to be directed in a movie, what genre would it be?
A little bit of each I guess... At life there's not just one emotion dominating, you encounter them all. By the way, why do we speak in English if you speak Russian?
My Russian is poor. Sorry. But Alex Bogomolov asked me the same question. Speaking of whom, Shamil Tarpishchev is luring him to play Davis Cup for your country and he seriously considers. You think it's good?
Yeah, why not? If he can help us, why not. He lives in USA but he is Russian. A lot of players change their nationalities these days, I don't see a problem about it. I know myself a few players for whom it solved big financial problems related to practising and traveling to compete. It's a deal where both sides win - player gets money and the federation gets promotion. Also some desire simply to go and compete at Olympic Games.
Has USA offered you citizenship?
No.
In your recent interview for ATP you mentioned losing precious moments with your father. Do you reckon life goes too quick?
Yeah I don't like the way we're forced to live nowadays. Everything happens too quick. If something sad happens, it is the only thing that makes us stop for a moment. Other than that it's only opening the internet, going through headlines, communicating through abbreviations, the shorter the better, talking on Facebook instead of face to face.
